Welcome to one of a few sites that I am developing.
I like to see how some of the different things that are being used for websites work. I like to see which look better, which ones allow for more features and which ones are easier to use.
This is another site I’m using to learn how to do some things. Particularly in WordPress. I will also be posting about other trial and error things that I’ve done or been working on. I might even start to post more technical stuff. I’m not sure yet.
There’s always some administrative stuff that needs posting. You know the disclaimers and such so here it is.
Item one. I am running Google Ads on the page. Hopefully not too many. They are from Google. They are designed to be kept track of so if someone happens to click on one, maybe I can earn a penny or two.
Item two. I am running Google Analytics. This is so I have an idea of they traffic I’m getting. I don’t do anything with the data that is collected, other than look at the numbers and which pages you are reading. I sometimes care what browser you are using, and find it interesting what part of the world you are visiting from. I don’t sell the info or anything like that. Again, it’s Google and they may take a different view of what the data is for.
Item three. I am not into hosting a digital grumble fest or anything like that and I’m not into being a pawn for spam and comments that are being used as cheap advertisement. Therefore, while I am happy to have comments, all comments will be approved, any inappropriate or irrelevant comments will be dumped to spam, deleted, or not approved or all of the above.
Item four. This is a testing site. I will sometimes mess with things just because. I may break things. I may fix things. I may change things. I may do any of that or any of a number of other things without warning. I will try not to leave things broke for too long if I do break things.
Item six. All views expressed here are mine (with the exception of what appears in the Google Ads). I do not pretend to be an authority or speak for any person, company or organization other than myself.
And finally. This is my site it is not your site. You came to me I did not go out and drag you here. If you find opinions expressed here not to you liking you may comment and we may discuss. If you don’t like them and think I should change things why not go build your own site. I am not your parent or babysitter or teacher or guardian or any authority figure meant to look out for you. If you don’t like that Google Analytics are being used to track things, or if I display advertisements or anything else I may decide to do here, oh well.
